SUNSET CRAFTSMAN Co.金山氏によるクラフトワーク・スニーカー。一足一足、刷毛を用いて墨を手染めして乾かし、色落ちを防ぐために余分な墨を水の中で丁寧にこすり落とす———。その結果、絶妙な陰影が現われるのです。
一足の中に表現されたワビサビの趣を味わうことのできるアイテムとなっています。

Craftwork sneakers by Mr. Kanayama from SUNSET CRAFTSMAN Co. Each pair is hand-dyed with SUMI ink using a brush, dried, and then the excess SUMI ink is carefully rubbed off in water to prevent color fading. As a result, exquisite shades of SUMI ink appear.

■墨染めのアテンション
・摩擦や、汗、雨などで濡れることで色落ちのしやすい素材です。
・着用や洗濯の繰り返しで徐々に色落ちし、白っぽくなります。
・着用中のパンツの裾やソックスなどとのスレによる色落ち、色移りにご注意ください。
・直射日光にあたった部分だけ退色して日焼けのように変化する場合がありますで、長時間放置しないでください。
・シューレースにも墨染を施しております。脱ぎ履きの際に多少手に付着する可能性がございますのでご了承ください。
■サイズ感のご注意
染め加工による縮みのため、SHELLCAP LOWの従来製品より若干小さく(0.5cm程度)感じられます。

■Note on SUMI Dyeing
・The discoloration may occur by rubbing, sweat or rain.
・The color may fade gradually after washing or usage
・Please be noted that the color may transfer/fade by rubbing to socks or hem of trousers
・Exposing to direct sunlight may cause the fading or change in color. Please do not leave for many hours
・The laces are also SUMI dyed. Please note that there is a possibility that some of the ink may adhere to your hands when you take them on and off.

Due to the shrinkage caused by the dyeing process, it is felt a little smaller(about 0.5cm) than the conventional SHELLCAP LOW products.

[児島帆布]と銘打ったアッパーのファブリックは、糸、撚り、タテ糸の構成にこだわり、スニーカーに適したオンスを独自に調整、開発した、PRASオリジナルの生地。
綿カスや程よいムラ感など、綿そのものの自然な風合いが特徴です。

The fabric of the upper, named [Kojima Hanpu], is a PRAS original fabric, which is particular about the composition of the thread, twist and warp, and has been developed and adjusted to a suitable ounce for trainers.
It is characterised by the natural texture of the cotton itself, such as cotton waste and a good degree of irregularity.

その生地を使用し、久留米ムーンスター社にて職人による手張り後、バルカナイズド製法で仕上げられた一足です。
1940年代のU.S ARMYのインドアトレーニングシューズをサンプリングしたシンプルなデザインながら、トゥーキャップの貝殻モチーフ ＝［シェルキャップ］がアイコニック。

This fabric is used, and the pair is finished in the vulcanized method after being hand-applying by craftsmen at the Kurume Moonstar company.
The trainers are a simple, never boring design sampling the indoor training shoes of the U.S. ARMY in the 1940s, and the shell motif on the toe cap = [SHELLCAP] is a typical "PRAS" icon.
